At Zeta Tau Alpha at Texas Tech University, the Gamma Tau chapter has a long-standing tradition of loyalty, service, and strong women. As the 92nd link out of 249 active chapters nationwide, Gamma Tau has proudly maintained a strong presence on the Texas Tech campus for 73 years.
Being a Zeta Tau Alpha “bean” means being part of a supportive sisterhood built on lifelong learning, leadership, service, and authentic connections. Members — known as “Zetas” — strive to make a positive impact through philanthropy, personal growth, and living out the values expressed in the ZTA Creed.

House Renovations
The Gamma Tau Chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha was established at Texas Tech University in the year 1953. Since our founding, we have maintained a lodge located at #11 Greek Circle. Our beautiful lodge has just finished being completely remodeled and we could not be more thankful and we are thrilled to finally have a place back on Greek Circle! gamma tau is currently home to over 200 women during their time at Texas Tech and we are the recipient of numerous awards from our International Office and local Panhellenic organization. Our members are not only involved within greek life, but are also involved on-campus in numerous student organizations.
Office of Fraternity & Sorority Life Awards
The Gamma Tau Chapter of Zeta Tau Alpha was so incredibly excited and honored to have received four awards from the Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life here at Texas Tech University for 2023. We received the Academic Achievement Achieved Expectations Award, the CRW Risk Education Award, the Leadership & Member Development Award, and the Philanthropy and Civil Engagement Award. We are so proud of each of our members and all their accomplishments through 2023 and we cannot wait to see what the rest of 2024 has in store for Gamma Tau!
